Should Rahman fight Nov 12 anyway?

I personally think he should if he can go out there and beat another top guy and stay active....I mean why waste the traing if he is ready he should go....but back to what I was saying he would look real good amongst fans if he Wins against another top guy but it is a huge risk it could **** him up bad should he lose but if he wants people to recognize him as a Champion keeping the date would be a very respectable thing IMO and really put the pressure on VK to prove he is still the man when he returns. What does everyone else think?

I think King should put him against Toney for sometime in December. Toney is training for a fight against a journeymen on December 1st, but he would put that off to face Rahman.

Rahman should fight Byrd. Rahman is ranked fairly high by the IBF.

Does Byrd get to have an optional defense before he has to fight his mandatory?

No way, Rahman should not risk his status and ranking, it would be foolish at this stage to put a late replacement with a week to go!
              Remember Holyfield / Cooper!

It would be very interesting indeed.......The Byrd option others mentioned would be nice to because it would basically begin the unification process.

There is no way that Rahman will fight anyone but Vitali. He is set to make 4.6 million in the fight. Why fight someone else for a ton less. There is no fighter out there right now that will bring in that much money, and Don King will just put him against his own promoted fighters and give him nothing.

Yeah unfortunately Byrd does get an optional defense because he fought Williamson who was rated the number one by the IBF.
