You quit when you no longer have full use of your shoulder & are worried about your career. There is NOTHING to prove to Byrd. If they fought 100 rds with Vitali's shoulder as healthy as Byrd's.... Byrd doesn't win 10 rds.. especially using the ropes to lure Vitali in because you're solely thinking about defense. BYRD STARTED thinking offense when Vitali didn't have full use of his shoulder..

Those are the facts that all haters try to spin. Vitali's shoulder had to hurt bigtime for him to forfeit the WBO title & squander his shot for his 28th straight knockout & have his undefeated streak come to an end. Vitali is the ONLY one to know how painful the shoulder injury was... so for everyone to play doctor & state how he should've winged it for 3rds because Byrd was featherfisted is just engaging in a futile scenario..

The fact that Byrd couldn't hurt him made Vitali's decision a gimme... the thinking was there was NOTHING to prove... he was winning easily so those 3 rds extra could've only served to further escalate the injury & potentially bruise his ego as he'd be forced to practically run from a former middleweight..... the mentality of the situation is something no one ever takes into account when mentioning the fight.

Vitali didn't cower like MOST other fighters who threw in the towel before it's time.... his EGO got the best of him & it had alot to do with the fact he was winning handily & the opponent he was facing who was as featherfisted as it gets. Ponder this.. the next time you start wondering why a fighter of his stature would quit in such a stunning manner & it will make more sense to you.

That has been Hispanic fighter has more boxing brains and skill than all of Klitschkos opponents combined.

Put 3 JMM'S in the ring with Vitali at the same time & watch how Vita;li's KO ratio improves. Notice how you said his opponents.. why can't you state that about Vitali himself? I'll tell you why.. because Vitali would waxxxxxx that aSSSSS all the way back to me hico.... kapish!

If you can make a heavyweight version of Marquez that keeps all his skill and counterpunching ability he destroys Klitschko.

If you make a 135 pound version of Vitali that keeps all his...uh, jabbing and right crossing ability....he gets destroyed by Marquez.

KEEP phucking dreaming... they haven't made a fighter past or present who's capable of destroying Vitali Klitschko..... the ONLY living species i'd favor over Vitali is A dinosaur because oF it's reach advantage back in the day!

I agree, Vitali has a case to be #1. He's atleast top 3-5. There seems to be an American and latino bias when it comes to P4P rankings stopping Vitali getting the recognition he deserves.

My guess is people are afraid to even speak Vitali's name, he is the Voldemort of boxing and thatswhy he isnt number 1 p4p, if you say his name too many times he's gonna get ya.
You answered your own question. Pacquiao is the most overrated boxer in history. Beating Clottey, Margarito, and an old azz Mosley makes you 1 p4p? Lol @ that.

I know beating an old azz Mosley and Victor Ortiz in the same time doesn't make you P4P #1 either. Stop being ignorant. Funny how you ignore the victories which earned him the #1.

Pac was #1 in 2008 after having beaten Marquez, and having had recent KOs of Morales and a UD over Barrera.

After Mayweather's last fight before he retired, Pac solidified himself as #1 by winning titles in 5 divisions over 7 fights from 130-150 as a former flyweight, smashing guys no-one gave him a chance to beat before he moved up like De La Hoya, top 147lber Cotto and 140 king Hatton. When another flyweight does that, then you call it overrated.

if pac wants to keep his spot at number 1 he should fight flyweights who gain 30 pounds and are now fat blobs who can barely breathe let alone move. then he would be on vitali's level.
