I can hear it now, if Mayweather-Pacquiao happens, the Pac lvoers are going to say "Floyd waited for Manny to slow down, and Manny ****** when Floyd fought him". Manny isn't prime anymore, hasn't been since the Cotto fight in 2009, and Floyd isn't prime anymore either, hasn't been since the hatton fight in 2007. They are both past prime-still really good, just like Leonard and Hagler in 87'. 2012 is the year, if it doesn't happen and Arum/Pac don't even negotiate, they will forever be remembered as the people that avoided the Floyd fight. I don't want to see it in 2013, when Floyd is 36 and Manny is 34. 2012, now or never.

Manny and Floyd BOTH need each other, no matter what they say. But, how can the fight happen when Arum and Pacquiao aren't even open to negotiating??? Floyd can still fight Sergio, a career defining fight no doubt. But, the bigger career fight would be Pacquiao.
So what would you say is the difference in the Mayweather that fought Hatton and since? Just curious.

It would've happened if Manny was willing to take the drug test. Besides that, Pacquiao's gravy train would've ended a long time ago. His team knows that he has difficulty with a pure boxer's counterpunching style. Morales used boxing technique, timing, and distance to defeat Pacquiao. He laid the blueprint. Juan Manuel Marquez further revised the blueprint. Even though he didn't get a win, he still showed how to effectively neutralize Pacquiao's aggression. Floyd Mayweather is a student of the game and he applies boxing physics to perfection. People were saying that Floyd fought Ortiz as a tune up for Pacquiao. I find that odd. After Pac's fight with Cotto Floyd was going to fight him without facing a southpaw. The man doesn't need to prepare for a southpaw. He's faced southpaws in the past and he's still undefeated so I guess he doesn't have that much trouble with them. Mayweather will spank Pacquiao. A man that just got 28 stitches in his eye needs not to be in the ring with sharpshooting Floyd. He will target that eye. Pacquiao fans and *******s, if they do fight, it will be ugly and bloody. Manny Pacquiao will gush blood after being hit with that straight right hand.

It was a shame that Pac ducked Floyd back in 2009 for a POS like Clottey who still has yet to win a fight since 2008....

and here it is mid November of 2011 and Pac says he will decide WHO he will fight after Christmas and New Years.... as if there was something to actually think about... on top of Bob Arum telling a retired judge to tell Team Mayweather Pac will not fight Floyd....

Arum has made quite a bit off the last few Pac fights.

Agreed, the Mosley fight was crap since it was announced and it actually turned to be even worse than I thought it would be ... After demolishing Margarito he was really hyped up and everyone thought he was invincible, but after fighting Mosley and looking bad this mega fight with Floyd started to lose some interest ... and of course after this controversial decision against Marquez he's surely going to be the underdog if the fight was going to happen. After beating Margarito I think that Pacquiao and Mayweather would both start with very close odds ... right now Floyd is clearly the favorite.

When he is on top? It was the same Pac... he didn't lose his power or speed. It was his inability to adjust.

Just watch the damn fight, he was blistering fast than ever, cut like beautifully carved sculpture. Anyone who has decent head movement and footwork will give him fits pre-Cotto or post-Cotto it doesn't matter, stop making excuses.
