Why doesnt this guy call out Bute, kessler, ward and froch? Since he a MW champion calling out guys that barely weigh 150 on FIGHT NIGHT 2 division below his, he needs to call out the guys from 168 too. Sergio is a good fighter, but as i said before he could be pound for pound if he moves up and fight the top guys in other division. He's only been a champ in 2 divisions, FMJ and Pac have moved up multiple times and fought good competition.

No money in those fights, bro. Martinez isn't getting any younger and his window to make his money isn't a big one. Martinez and Mayweather is the second biggest fight out there right now, next to May/Pac and you can bet your bottom dollar that if May/Pac doesn't get made for this May, that we'll be getting a tweet from Mayweather announcing this fight sometime in January. Mayweather has nobody else out there he can generate big PPV numbers with. Khan down the road, but not yet. Mayweather vs. Martinez then we'll see Pac vs. May in November or May vs. Khan next November...

Winner of Cotto/Margarito vs. Mayweather in May is a possibility also. Arum will partner with Mayweather and Golden Boy, but Arum knows what happens to Pac if he puts him in there with Mayweather and he's doing everything he can to delay that route, imo.

Mayweather v Martinez won't happen. Martinez should turn all his attentions to Chavez Jr and then Pirog after that. Pirog deserves a shot sometime soon.

I think it's pretty simple and lot of people are hitting on it... He's not getting younger and needs to get those big money fights now or very soon. There just isn't money in the fights that "matter", however you want to interpret it.

I personally think he should focus on Chavez Jr.

If not, move to 154, and fight three times a year. We can dream, right?

To all you freaken cry babies complaining that Martinez is calling out smaller fighters, STFU!
He's calling out Pacquiao and Mayweather because they are great fighters and have showed to be able to move up and win. Both have won titles at 154. So go F_ck yourselves. He's also calling out Chavez a guy who is bigger then he is. He beat Barker, Williams and Dzinzerik who were all taller and bigger then he was. He beat Pavlik who is bigger then he is. Only Dzin came up in weight but is a huge guy for 154. All you fans need to stop crying and start rooting for great match ups instead of trying to keep your fighters safe!

sergio has to kinda whore himself out though because there are no big money fights for him at his weight class. floyd is more realistic given floyds been in the ring with a middle weight oscar and 164 pound victor, i think it could be marketable for floyd who definitely has more big fight options than manny at this point in his career floyd makes 50 mill, serg will make 3 lol

I think Sergio should move down to 154 if Chavez Jr. Doesn't want some. I would like to see Jibberjabber's rankings at 160 and 154 if he thinks Sergio is a bum and his resume is weak.

i know martinez only wants money, cant blame him..but hes too big for any of em, his natural weight is 154 or higher..if floyd climbs up there he will be at a disadvantage, if he goes down to 147 and floyd destroy him people will say he was drained and give him no props ..dibella is in his ear tryna get big money, and like i said cant blame em who doesnt wasnt more money ??
