The name of the game is hit and not be hit!!!

The ATG's of the sport never traded shots aka went toe toe. Not Sugar Ray Robinson, not ALI, not Joe Louis, not Henry Armstrong,,,,not one..

All of these boxers displayed the sweet science of backing up for the entire fight and waited for their opponents to initiate combat then counterpunched and potshot and hopefully got the nod from the judges. These ATG boxers never, and I mean never went forward and went for the knockout simply because they didnt show any aggression...

That is why JMM is an ATG.

I do agree to some extent that counter punchers do have an advantage fighting in their style. They know if they went toe 2 toe they wouldn't be able to man up, because all they do is wait until an opponent who is making the fight to make mistakes. Counter punchers don't make the fight, aggressive fighters do. The sweet science of waiting for your opponent to throw the first punch.

So no JCC wasnt aggressive, he was a backpeddler, like JMM.

Because.... JMM didn't trade with Katsidis or Diaz.
he didn't go forward against Mayweather.

the sweet science is THAT a science. You do what you have to win.
You adjust. You go forward when needed, you back up when you have to.
You counter punch you lead, You apply pressure, you exploit your opponents weaknesses, you make your opponents miss ,you trade ...like the last round of the Casamayor - Marquez fight

only a simpleton casual fan that doesn't understand boxing wouldn't know that

Yes, because Tyson, Chavez, Foreman, Armstrong, Duran, Joe Frazer all went backwards at times and displayed this "sweet science" you are talking about...

Listen ******, you only have to "adjust" if you think your opponent is stronger than you... What happens if you never meet an opponent that has a bigger punch than you??

JMM has to adjust,,,, some fighters never have to. Only dumb ***s like you think like this.
