i think that JMM being fat and sloppy out of his mind against floyd is grossly over exaggerated. i think that he was only in slightly better shape against pac............

do you think that version of JMM give pac fits?????

Yes he does, because like JMM said he "knows Manny." Marquez knows Manny better than Manny knows himself. Marquez knows Manny's habits, his strengths, and his weaknesses. The only problem is that Marquez lacks Manny's athletic ability which was why he wasn't able to time all of Manny's shots.

i find it funny how everyone claims that JMM was fat & sloppy out of his mind against floyd. I've watched the weigh ins. the actual 2 fights......& i see very little difference..........

I'm sure that the *******s will invade this thread and talk about the whole 2lbs Floyd came in overweight and talk about the huge advantage it gave him, yet ignore that their idol has made these bigger guys drop from 154 to 147, but say thats no big deal nor a disadvantage

The difference is not that big and tbh I doubt it made THAT much difference. The style is the main issue. Marquez would have mentioned it if he felt there was a huge difference.

It's the SAME JMM. I can't believe how people are so shocked that JMM performed well against Pacquiao. People were blowing up the weight issue out of proportion. The reason why JMM looked so bad against PBF was because of the styles rather than the weight. People tend to forget that JMM had an EXTRA two months to adjust to the weight when Floyd got a rib injury.

Having said that, I'm sure he was more fit for the Pacquiao fit but I was always believing that Márquez would put up a better effort than Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley. He did so...he outdid EVERYONE Pacquiao had fought after Márquez in 2008...at 38 years old. JMM is a brilliant boxer.

That performance elevated Floyd's win over JMM. People all over are now looking at it from another perspective. Merchant and Bayless can suck it. LOL

many people are making excuses as to why pac basically lost to JMM. they are claiming that "the jmm that fought floyd was fat & sloppy out of his mind" while the JMM that fought pac was light years beyond shape. & thats the reason. in realty JMM was only slightly in better shape vs pac.

pac just sucks when it comes to dealing with JMM. JMM (in my opinion) is a better fighter then pac...........
