Scott Pemberton had the perfect game plan going into his bout with Jeff Lacy. As his trainer told one noted reporter, Pemberton’s goal was to turn this match into a remake of Lennox Lewis-Mike Tyson. Using his reach and left jab, Pemberton wanted to keep Lacy on the outside while setting him up for his feared right. [details]

The plan....
The plan to beat Jeff was clear and for his age etc Scottie did well. I don't know about TV but being there live it was looking good very early...the kab landed good and swelled Jeffs eye up....Jeff is VERY strong, though and Scottie is not a BOXER by nature. I only had about 4 weeks, 5 weeks to get him to use that plan. He did it as best as he coulkd but caught by a very strong, young guy. No shame for a guy that didn't turn pro until AGE 27, u know?

I also thought that Scott was fighting well, and I thought he was thorwing Lacy off a bit with his jab, its hard for a guy who is 38 years old and coming off a layoff to step in and fight a young guy who is as strong as a Mac truck.Originally posted by ICEMAN JOHN SCULLYThe plan to beat Jeff was clear and for his age etc Scottie did well.
