They aren't going to fight. If they were going to, they would have. Lots of superfights never get made. It happens.

Floyd has a date reserved. Offer it to Kirkland. He'll take it. The two have a lot in common -- problems with the law, overbearing crass trainers -- and a lot of differences (Mayweather's wealth and women, Kirkland's sparce existence).

Stylewise, it could be an Ali-Frazier-type matchup. They are both still young enough it could evolve into multiple fights.
