This is why the Ass Kissing for Pacquiao was at a ALL TIME HIGH during the JMM fight, because HBO wants to be able to Broadcast the Next Fight and they don't want him to go back to Showtime...so again your putting the Power into the PROMOTERS HANDS
Yea it's sad like people talk about Don king but Arum is him just white.

lol yeah that was a great fight and respect to kirkland for wanting to prove himself. You dont see a lot of fighters do that. When they run into a style that gives them probelms they tend to run for the hills to avoid another fight like that.

The fans are the problem. They should say "I'm not gonna buy PPV's unless Floyd is gonna fight Pac." Instead the fans shell out big bucks to watch Mayweather fight nobodies like Ortiz.

Corruption, greed, and people wanting to take the easy road to big paydays.

You got probably the two top people right now (Mayweather and Pac) who can't make a fight because both camps are playing games. They don't want to fight any of the other top fighters because they can't generate enough of a following to make a fight worth while. They end up fighting people like Mosley, who is old and way past his prime because he can boost PPV numbers. When they fight people like that, you end up with poor fights and the followers get mad. Then you get fights like Maywheather - Ortiz, the way it went down was a disgrace and puts yet another stain on the Mayweather brand. Same thing with Pacman - Marquez. Regardless of which fighter you are a fan of, it was a limited action/boring fight. It isn't Mayweather, Ortiz, Pacman, or Marquez that lost, it is the fan that took the big hit. I bet if Manny and Floyd would fight in May, they wouldn't generate near the revenue they would have if they would have fought 6 months ago.

Now you have people like Bradly, Khan, Berto, and Martinez (just to name a few) who basically grab a title and all they want to do is cherry pick their opponents, in hopes they will get a big payday with either Maywheather or Pacman by the process of May or Pac not having anyone else to fight. May and Pac don't want to fight any of them because they can't generate PPV numbers, mostly because they cherry pick opponents. The last good fight Khan was in was with Maidana. He doesn't want to fight Maidana again because he may loose, and loose his chance of maybe getting the big payday, so he has been cherry picking every since. Bradly has been cherry picking also. He has had his to make bigger fights with people like Khan, but if he does, chances are that he will lose and loose his shot at an easy payday. Berto, the same thing. He took a fight with Ortiz, because he thought that since Ortiz lost to Maidana and hasn't looked good in his fights after that, it would be an easy fight and help build up his fan base. Little did he know, Ortiz came to fight that night and derailed his plans. Martinez is no better. After he got a name because of his lucky punch against Paul Williams, all he has wanted to do is cherry pick in hopes he will get a shot at a money fight. There are good fights for him if he moves up one weight class. I think he doesn't want to do that because he isn't nearly as good as people thinks he is, so he just wants to wait around, fighting nobodies, in hopes a cash cow comes his was so he can cash out while he can.

The sad thing is, I have seen as good of fights, if not better on Friday Night Fights this year, as I have seen on any PPV fights I have ordered lately.

Dana completely ruined the chance of Fedor vs Brock when they were both at the top of their game. There's a few more matches we missed due to Dana's greed and control.

The UFC isn't too far behind in missed opportunities for great fights.
Fedor's promoters wanted to co-promote. Dana wouldnt allow M-1 to co-promote. Dana is a greedy **** but i can understand him shoving M-1 away. M-1 is a ****ing joke imo.

Boxing is a sad state nowadays. People laugh at the UFC but you are guaranteed the right fights with the top fighters every year. Im a bigger boxing fan though.

I blame the promoters and the sanctioning bodies.
