They clearly intended to disadvantage Marquez on the scales. If you disagree, then explain why the *** Manny "conceded" a catch-weight that he cannot even make himself, in spite of admitting that his best fighting weight is 140?
They relied on the fact that Marquez looked old, fat, and slow, against Mayweather, and that he would fare no better this time around..... it would have been impossible to drag Marquez further away from his comfort zone.
Pac's plan was obviously to use his size/speed advantage to out-muscle Marquez, so why would he attempt to box him?
" pac fought shook "
Agreed, and that boils down to the style of Marquez. Not only did Marquez retain his speed, he could hurt Pac, and Manny was not expecting that.
Pac thought that he could simply overwhelm Marquez and blow him out of the ring using his size/speed advantage..... they were ALLLLL saying it, some even predicted a first round KO.
Marquez has Pac's number, plain and simple, and the rematch will be no different.
4-0.
now, do you agree that weight is not an advantage for manny? did i tell you that it will be a competitive fight? as i've said, jmm will do his homework...
i think it was his age that caused him to loose the fight, he faded on the last rounds, he could have won if he was able to maintain his attacks.
if they fight again, jmm will still loose, i saw in the last rounds that age is affecting him already...

The things which I was mainly referring to regarding Pacquiao's improvements, are mainly his positioning and foot placement. He isn't as bad for it as he used to be of course, but I don't believe he will ever be able to stop himself from falling into his opponent square-on after he throws the straight left down the pipe. Even on recent videos of Mitt sessions with Freddie Roach, everytime he throws it on its own, he ends up out of position, off balance and in No Man's Land as far as range goes. A lot of the success which JMM had against Pacquiao on saturday was in one way or another related to this flaw in Manny's makeup.
That same flaw, is the one which I see playing a key role in the Mayweather fight, should it happen. Mayweather will draw Pacquiao into throwing the straight left down the middle, and will find himself eating the sharpest of counters with Floyd's straight right, and will visit the canvas several times as a result of this.
That, combined with his two-handed punching style, will cause him problems against anyone who uses movement. An opponent will have to stand in front of Pac in order for him to be fully effective.
I am not saying that Manny cant beat anyone who does, because he can, just that he is far less effective.
Also, learning how to throw a hook, cannot be compared with instinctively having that asset, and blending it seamlessly into your game.
Take Donaire for instance, you make one mistake, and ****, lights out.
Pac did not have a lot of options against Marquez, and at times he looked lost.

FACT: Pac tried to set Marquez up, end of story, just like he did to Cotto.
The fact that the bullet missed, does not lessen the intent.
Pacquiao " conceded " a catchweight that he has never made himself, that tells the WHOLE story right there.
A catch-weight is middle-ground, but Manny's catchweight was higher than he could even make himself, so it is plainly obvious that they tried to disadvantage Marquez as much as possible by dragging him as far away from his most comfortable fighting weight.
The proof ? (as if any more proof was needed..... in fact, more proof is not required, but this will end the discussion)..... Manny recently admitted that he is a natural JWW and his best weight is 140..... and Ariza admitted that Manny has to eat 6 meals a day and 3am/6am shakes just to fight at welter..... so why did a lightweight have to jump TWO DIVISIONS?
It happened, and nothing will change that.
And no, I do not believe the " I told you so " people, not one bit. Not referring to you, but most of them are full of ****.
FACT: Pacquiao tried to disadvantage Marquez on the scales......
..... so the "oh, but they are the same size" comments, were rubbish fanboy excuses to justify why Pac was setting up a lightweight.
The fact that Marquez looked good, is irrelevant, because NOBODY thought that he would be effective above 140 as confirmed by Roach/Ariza/Fernandez themselves.
Nope, I do not believe for one second that any of Manny's fans who insisted that the weight would not be a problem, know more about boxing than Roach/Ariza/Fernandez..... who ALL admitted that the weight would be too much for Marquez.
The benefit of hindsight gets nobody off the hook.
