I think Manny and Floyd are both past prime-still really good. The speed was still there for Pacquiao, but his not quite as explosive as he use to be. I am not using the triangle theory with Mayweather and Pacquiao, even though Floyd did dominate a better version of JMM at the same weight over 2 years ago. But, givent he fact that Manny was arguably beat by a past prime counter puncher, who has a pretty good defense....I can't see him beating a past prime-still really good Floyd, who may be the best counter puncher and have the best defense the sport has seen.
It's all uselss though, because tonight we found out once and for all that Arum and Team Pac never wanted the Mayweather fight at all, and they still don't intend to make it. It's living proof that Manny is avoiding Floyd.
Pacquiao-Marquez IV is bulls**t and the Pac fans are jumping ship, or sounding delusional when they try to justify this blatant duck. It finally looked like Manny was going to agree to testing, as Arum had said "Manny will finally call Floyd's bluff", but now we get Arum and Pac pursuing another fight with JMM instead of Floyd.
I think Floyd is where Ali was in 71'-73' or where Leonard was in 87'-88'....past his prime, but still really good. A couple years left.
I think Manny is where Hagler was in 86'-87'....past his prime, but he's still really good. He has a couple years left in him too.
But, it should be clear as day who is avoiding who now.
