Smokin Joe's Sendoff, Turned out to be the biggest insult?

That night Smokin Joe was given the sendoff and I just find it sad for him that the night he was given the sendoff was the night that the biggest robbery in boxing history happened.

Its as if it symbolically saying that "Real" Boxing died with Joe Frazier and the current boxing is all about the business and economic side of things.

BTW Im a filipino and a manny fan but also a boxing fan in general so I tried to view the match with no bias if possible but I really felt that Marquez won that.

Thats because Marquez did win, almost everyone had him winning except the judges and some biased fans. Bob Arum was exposed, The Judges were exposed, and HBO announce team were exposed as frauds.

Amir Khan had Marquez winning but someone clearly threatened Amir Khan to change his opinion about the fight.

i wouldn't say that, although it was a robbery .. i feel there is no disrespect for frazier everybody in the boxing community has nothing but respect for him.. its just that they were never going to allow marquez to win that fight to ruin a mayweather/pacquiao matchup..

i understand you feel that way, but dont..

Really, you think it was for that? Considering the fact that Arum does not want to make Mayweather vs Pacquiao next?

I think it was just an outright robbery for no reason at all.

At first I thought the robbery was to secure a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. But they don't even want that fight.
