Pacquiao Looked FAST as EVER at the higher weights

Regardless of what you think of the result of the fight, I thought Pac looked extremely fast, handspeed-wise. In fact I believe it's the fastest he's been since moving up from 135. I don't doubt what Roach said about him having his best camp ever.

Strictly speaking (i.e. not discussing the fight itself, Pac's declining, etc), what did everyone else think about Pacquiao's handspeed?

I think he is still physically near prime, but perhaps his skills have been on the decline. Or maybe JMM just has his number and makes him look much worse than anyone else could (not named Floyd).

He is the same Pacquiao, he just can't fight counter-punchers and ring generals who move around. He needs to learn the intricacies of the sweet science, but its probably a little too late for that.

Put him in with a brawler whose got little to no movement, defense and Manny looks like superman again.

Definitely slowed in that department, foot speed too, but that's inexcusable as Marquez has declined too and had to move up. Manny also needs to fight through the frustration as he once used to.

Yeah I know I'm in the minority with all that but who cares.

I thought JMM substantially slower than Pac, it was apparent - JMM just knew how Pac throws that left hand.

JMM has never had fast hands but his timing is incredible. This is the shit I admire about guys who maximize their physical talents, by timing and using their brains. Pacquiao is a fuckin speed demon compared to Marquez.

I should've made it clear, I kind of muddled my point with extra wording but lets ignore everything else I said.. anyhow:

Strictly speaking, what did you think of Pacquiao's handspeed in the JMM 3 fight?

I thought he was blazing fast when he chose to fight with reckless abandon, but being the kind of fight that it was (in addition to not being able to pull the trigger) he didn't get to showcase that speed often, via combinations and such. On the rare occasion he did choose to open up, he was explosive.

Example: Check out the 1-2 combo at the end he throws at the end of round 8 at around 0:03 left in the round. Sick.
