Ring generalship has nothing to do with walking forward, to say that is laughable, ring generalship is defined by controlling the pace of the fight, and keeping the fight where you have the advantage. A perfect example (in another robbery) is Whitaker vs Chavez, JCC would keep marching forward and Sweet Pea would continuously step around him and pull the fight back to the center of the ring where he had the obvious advantage.

On Saturday Manny showed poor ring generalship by consistently walking forward and circling to his left (the wrong direction for a southpaw against an orthodox fighter) right into Marquez's right hand counters.

Everyone here knows I want the floyd Pac fight more than anything but come on. You guys blast pac for not challanging himself then he gets challanged, wins a questionable decision, and wants to prove everyone wrong and he is still ducking someone.

1st Fight - Pac wins Split Decision
2nd Fight - Draw
3rd Fight - Marquez wins Split Decision

My guess is Jr/Pac in April or June...

.....I prefer another Pac/JMM showdown but since Pac is a part time actor and did a good convincing act...jr will call him out again and the fight will happen next year...guaranteed..!!

it's clear manny was being cycled off his steroids, and he didn't look good without them. their next plan is to cherry pick 2-3 more fights, and hope mayweather gets old within the next year or so, and then do the fight. as it stands right now, neither roach nor arum want manny anywhere near floyd anytime soon.

a lot of decent boxers know how to sit back and counter but some consider that boring and unfair...more credit goes to the guy who takes a chance by initiating..plus manny was landing 2-3 punches for every 1 or 2 counter punches juanma threw

fans play a factor? pac fans are spoiled with pacman beating down his prey...that didnt happen ... juanma countered a lot and had more power punches....

but if u watch it again on mute...dont listen to lampley or the crowd...manny lands a lot of pot shots almost like floyd but left handed and no shoulder roll defense...and juanmas head rarely snaps back when he gets hit...he has a strong chin but he still gets hit and he got hit more than manny did

marquez won the brawl but manny won the points game with the quicker straights

Manny landed more punches than marquez....his punches may not have been his best...but they were still fast and they still landed more giving him more rounds...

Marquez did wait and pause a lot...12th round for example...he was very conservative and not going for it...if u are waiting to counterpunch after u got tagged and the other guy waits for as well...then u r losing...

the point is Manny won twice against marquez...

one close match=possible robbery

two close matches, post whining = boy who cried wolf

juanma did not want the belt bad enough
