I would love it if he came back and trained.

You are kidding around of course.Originally posted by pbds....No, and I think an Ali comeback would be more succesful at this point in time. At least it would be if it took place in the next couple of months.
As someone else said. If he put his heart to it and came back. Whats to say he cant win. In fact whats to say he isnt already training currently and gettign ready for a fight in the middle east which he said will be the venue of any comeback....

Those are the golden words right there. Karma if i can....Originally posted by TuPrincipeDamn right and I want to see him actually train for Barrera. He was awesome in his prime, anyone who disagree's with me is an idiot. He got arrogant and rich and stopped training. He could of been the best, but he just thought he was too good and stopped training.
Now that he's humbled, i want to see him fight barrera again. AND I want to see his crazy antics.Comment

Yeah he has loads of fans in that part of the world. I remember when he visited the Yemen (his mum and dads country, but he was born in England) and his car was getting surrounded with millions of fans lol. All these kids running down the street and ****.
Then he got a mercedes benz from the president of the Yemen, and said after one of his Knock Outs that he deserves 3

I think his retirement was a mixture of a loss of confidence and the fact that he wanted to spend more time with his family and on religion and stuff like that. His life must have been hectic back in the day, but he wanted to calm down a little. Lets not forget he fought Manuel Calvo in 2003 though....Originally posted by badbloodI never understood why he retired in the first place?? Yes, I think he should come back.

Sorry but the notion that Hamed can regain any previous glory he might have one day had is down right absurd and ridiculous.
He's been gone to long... this isnt basketball at the local park. This is Boxing at the Elite Professional level.
Besides being a dirty ass fighter in the ring, and his extravagant entrances what does he bring to the game in terms of action? Nothing, Hamed was always technically flawed, and his reflexes will never be what they used to be. He is nearing 32 years old.
Dont forget he had to body slam an old Cesar Soto to throw him off his game. He ducked Juan Manuel Marquez like the plague, people say he was too confident... the fact that he ducked him clearly shows otherwise.
Barrera would slap the **** out of hamed again. And as far as him beating any of the other Elite 126 - 130 lb fighters... keep in mind Barrera is also the most feather fisted of all the fighters waiting for Hamed. And all of them except maybe pacquiao (big maybe) are more technically sound than Hamed EVER was.
Feel free to flame me lol.Last edited by .::|ULTIMATE|::.; 11-06-2005, 05:36 PM.Comment
