Why do you hate DeLaHoya so much?

Is it because he knocked out Chavez?(obviously JCC was out of his prime) but is that why? Just wondering..

Or maybe because he claims to be Mexican and ran from Trinidad.

Why do you hate DeLaHoya so much?

I dont hate him, if anything i admire the way he has handled his career and his marketing strategies. He should go to the hall of fame for the best "managed" fighter ever.

The only real problem i have with him is the fact he dove to the canvas against hopkins when he clearly coulda gotten up imo. I also think many fighters in his career werent exactly anybody until he hyped them up himself. Also while fighters gave him the opportunity to prove himself and come into the spotlight he wont do the same. He is all business and no real hunger for glory and imo thats not good for boxing. He created sort of a league of 1990s fighters and they dont wanna fight anyone except each other. It really is sad.

Yeah, Chavez, Barera, Morales, Sanchez, etc will always be bigger legend than him.

but, he is more of a celebrity than a GREAT fighter...
