He could've change the outcome. But Marquez was the impatient that night.

Not really bro. What Mayweather did was force Marquez to take the lead, by jabbing him and potshotting him at a distance and once Marquez tried to counter he missed badly and got countered repeatedly. Marquez found out he wasnt the better counterpuncher. So it was either go after him or just continue getting potshotted.Last edited by goblin213; 11-13-2011, 10:33 PM.Comment

he can't fight that way against floyd because floyd didn't give him a chance to be a counterpuncher.Comment

Floyd didn't force Marquez to punch first, Marquez knew he had to force the fight on FLoyd. If Marquez fought like he did last night the fight would be much more competitive....And it would have been more competitive if Floyd actually made weight but didnt'....And Floyd fought a jr. lightweight(130) in Marquez. While Pac last night fought a lightweight (135) Marquez.Comment

I don't know if I get what you're saying but I'm assuming if Marquez fought Floyd the way he fought Pacquiao he would've won? But Floyd fights absolutely nothing like Manny, you couldn't find 2 fighters more different if you tried. It was a horrible stylistic matchup for JMM. A counter puncher fighting a smaller counter puncher. He had to be the aggressor that night, a role he was not at all used to at a weight he had never fought at.
Styles make fights.Comment

It would not have changed a thing. Floyd was potshotting him to steal rounds. He had no choice but to become the aggressor or just give rounds away as floyd potshotted him all night. The difference is Manny doesnt know how to get in and out without running into a punch. Hes made his career off of hitting guys on the way in so they cant counter.Last edited by Shogunofharlem1; 11-13-2011, 10:41 PM.Comment
