    Vitali needs surgery

*********.com spoke with Vitali Klitschko's personal manager Bernd Boente to get the latest on the heavyweight champion's condition after news that his fight with Hasim Rahman has been postponed again. Boente revealed that Klitschko suffered a completely torn meniscus (cartilage) in his right knee that is likely to require arthoscopic surgery. Next week he will be having the knee further evaluated by Dr. Richard Steadman in Vail, Colorado. As to when Vitali can return, "It really depends on the doctor next week," commented Boente. "He hopes very soon."
Well there you go if the dudes really hurt not much he can do,VK went on to say he could of braced it up fought 2 rounds and quit and made his money but the fans deserve 100% for their money and he wasn't going to do that.

    hmm

Surgery on a torn meniscus will take a while to comeback from I would think. An amount of months he should be out. Even though they didn't strip Tszyu after those injury years, I thought they should have and so I feel it would not be a crime to strip Vitali in this case. He should probably just retire because his knee will likely knever be the same.

Didn't they strip the WBC from Tszyu?

Yeah Tszyu was stripped of both the WBA and WBC belts. The IBF was the only one that did not strip him.

A fighter with that kind of medical issues should only retire, in boxing your legs are everything which include your knees

Wouldnt call him a coward. As said above he could go fight two round and quit and take his money.

After giving it more thought he should just give away his belt and recover, if his body lets him go one more time then just retire.

But he definetly should not keep the belt unless he can fight in 3 weeks time.
