Could Mayweather vs Marquez II happen on May 5th if no Mayweather-Pacquiao?

This is a PERFECT Golden Boy set up for The Cinco De Mayo date if Top Rank doesnt want to make the fight with Mayweather. Tons of fans feel this fight was a robbery and that Marquez outboxed Pacquiao once again. Marquez is well adjusted to the weight as everyone witnessed. He handles Pac's speed and power like he has before.

Everyone excuse was that Marquez was flabby and not suited for the WW limit when he moved up to fight Mayweather. Fans, Boxers, writers & Trainers alike have all said that Marquez looked good and won the fight so a Mayweather-Marquez II is a very marketable fight for the mexican fans on the biggest mexican holiday.

I predict that Marquez will be Mayweathers opponent IF the Mayweather-Pac fight cant get done.

Also what would make this fight card even more epic is if they pushed back the Ortiz-Berto rematch and threw it on the undercard of the fight.

      Really?

      I guess Hatton/Pac II makes sense too…

Marquez isn't a Golden Boy fighter anymore. They would make chump change to promote that fight because they get a fee from Floyd and 0 from Marquez. Makes no sense for them financially.

I say Pac-Floyd should happen in May OR an immediate rematch of Pac-JMM should happen in Feb or March and then Pac-Floyd in the summer. Floyd already has plans for May, has the MGM booked already, doesn't sound like he was planning on waiting for Manny but last night's results may have changed his plans. Just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't want to see this.

I just know Mayweather's gonna push hard for the Pac fight. That's the one he wants.

I agree since Marquez beat Pac he deserves the big payday as if he go the judges nod. If pac doesn't sign then Floyd should fight Marquez.

Mayweather vs Martinez and Pacquiao vs Marquez IV

Marquez knows he'll get the same beating from Mayweather as before so I'm not sure he'll want to fight even if it's for a final cash out.
