Sryles make fights and while Lara lost to Molina i think Kirkland wins against Molina but not against Lara. Lara is verry skilled and slick, Molina is a come forward fighter without a big punch, good style for Kirkland but still a good test and a fight i would apreciate. I think Kirkland should make 2 more fights against decent opposition before fighting for a title but they could make a fight with Bundrage now and Kirkland would win it. The fact that Bundrage is a "champion just shows you how wide open this division is and while Kirkland has some flaws he has great opportunities at this weight class and we will see entertaining fights with him. He better stays at that weight class though.

molina does well against boxers...a pressure fighter with a punch like kirkland should be a nightmare for his style

however if he avoids fighting off the back foot he could beat kirkland...molina has a good chin and he is a high risk low reward fight...props to kirkland for taking it if he does

still hope he can take care of that blemish in ishida though. most young golden boy fighters have avoided the opponents that have kayoed them in the first round. khan and linares did and ishida was a walk in the park for a game kirkland

Molina is very slippery and he will counter kirk all day, people taking too much from Kirklands breakdown of Angulo. Angulo and Molina have very different styles and Molina has a good chin as well. Molina might not have KO power but he has enough pop to make you think twice about throwing wildly. If Molina can find his rhytm then I can see him grinding out the win. Kirklands on a high right now and his confidence must be through the roof, so either way you know this would be a good fight but its too early to say anything right now well see whats up once its set in paper.

I want Kirk to be fighting for the strap but this is definitely a bout that gets the blood boiling. Make it happen!

This is an odd choice for Kirkland. Not that it's not a good and compelling fight, but it seems it's a moderate-risk, low-reward kind of fight since Molina still doesn't really get his due in terms of public recognition. Seems like he could fight someone with a bigger name without taking on any more risk. Then again, maybe Molina is the only one not afraid of him at this point.

This fight makes little sense for Kirkland. Even if he wins, Molina just doesn't let you look good. Fight K9, Trout, or whoever has the WBO title, you deserve a shot at a title.

Molina has proved himself to be a good fighter and is going to be avoided as long as he doesn't have barganing chips, so he should get himself into a mandatory position. Waiting for popular fighters to take a chance fighting you hasn't worked well for too many fighters.

Hopefully they each get the opportunity to be titlists instead of having to set each other back.
