If Marquez landed more harder and cleaner shots then how come pac didn't get his face marked or cut like the first two fights and why was Marquez's face all swollen up?

pac's face is the clean compared to the previous 2 fights with marquez. where is all these punches that he landed. fact is jmm landed 2 punches per round and people roared the rest were block.

typical, when the compubox stats agree with you, theyre legitimate and you bring them up. when you disagree, theyre fake and should be ignored.

Boxing 101 - you NEVER compare how a fighter face looks and equate that to how often he was hit. For someone to do that shows they are new to boxing. Every fighters skin and facial tissues are different.

So, compubox is bull**** now. Well, some haters like to refer to it on the 2nd fight.

Any punch other than a jab is considered a power punch. Even punches like Pac's glancing non jabs in this fight(due to JMM's defense). Marquez landed more head snapping punches, fought on his terms and neutralized Pac's strengths. He won.

Pac is a harder puncher than Marquez, especially at WW where Pac has retained speed and increased power... Now you must also remmber that Marquez is is 38 years old, his face is not the same, he's been in several hard battles and now he's prone to get cut and swollen ... most of the times that Marquez fought in the past his face was messed up ... THE DAMAGE TO THE FACE IS NOT THE CORRECT WAY TO JUDGE A FIGHT

Bottom line is you have to beat the Champ, not just win the fight. Boxing has been so watered down lately and WWE like, we forget that Pac walked in the Champ. The champ does not get stripped of his belt by an almost win or close fight.

To be the champ you must beat the champ. JMM's corner really screwed up telling him he was winning on the cards when what they should have said was we need a knockout.

These stat's weaken the weight of argument for compubox. It is a guide and is sometimes a good one, sometimes not. It's off here, a lot of blocked punches have been counted.

Anything other than a jab is construed as a power punch. That is daft imo because Manny throw's lots of punches from funny angles so you'd expect him look good in that stat. But a lot of them weren't "powerful".

Still, JMM's face was more marked than his but Pac doesn't bruise and cut quite so easily as JMM.

compubox can be misleading. JMM won more rounds IMO. and like the article said, JMM landed the cleaner shots

Edit: just looked at the whole chart and its complete bullshit. they had pac out-landing JMM 10 out of 12 rounds, WTF

I was sitting right behind press row on the floor for this fight. The compubox stats look right to me. Marquez landed the best short clewn punches in the fight, but pacquiao outlanded him in virtually every round. The distance they were fighting at was such that marquez was reaching for many punches and pacquiao was picking them off with his gloves. Nevertheless, the crowd went crazy every time marquez even thought about throwing a punch. Fight was close. I had it 115-113 pacquiao. Many close rounds where the only action was pacquiao moving forward.
