for those of you that are screaming robbery or that jmm won, let’s break it down…
based on total punches landed, paquaio won 9 rounds to jmm ‘s 3 …that’s giving jmm the rounds that are even, rounds 3 and 9
based on jabs landed, pacquaio won 8 rounds to jmm’s 4….again, thats giving jmm the round that’s even, round 8
the most effective punches, the power punches….
Based on power punches landed, pacquaio won 8 rounds to jmm’s 4….no even rounds there…
So please do tell how the hell did pac not win this fight, better yet how the hell can you call this a robbery?….

Im not going to go throw those things rd by rd, but i has the fight replaying at the minute an opened this thread between rds, looked up the stats for rd 7 (the rd that was about to start on my tv), and they are WAAAAAY of.
Apparently it was:
pac 21/57
mar 12/31

Pac barely landed a punch in that rd and Marquez put a clinic on

compubox statistics are NOT black and white facts. i dunno, i didn't count the punches but i'm not sure they're right in this case. what i do know is that there's a couple of guys totting up the punches, like amateur judges would do but it's more complicated given they've to decide where they landed etc and it's just as prone to subjectivity as commentating or judging amateur/professional.
lies, damn lies and then there's statistics. i'm not saying they're totally wrong in this case as i already said i haven't counted, but compubox is by no means infallible given that the numbers are totted up by two normal guys (who usually don't look like they've ever had anything to do with boxing before...).

if compubox was a good way to decide a winner then surely it would be used to replace judges.
