  • That "Faceoff" with Max Kellerman...

...told me everything I need to know. Cotto's talking about his health and his kids and his life and everything but winning. And it's all well and good, and, frankly, the responsible perspective for a grown man who has already made a ton of money. But I will not be one bit surprised to see him fold again. It's that fighting heart that one guy has and the other doesn't. Say what you will about illegal handwraps (I sincerely doubt they were plaster) remember, it wasn't Margarito's fists that won him that first fight, it was chin. Margarito will win because he won't be thinking about going home or his wonky eye or how good Cotto is. He'll win because he won't save anything for after.

I can't wait for this one.

Oh and this thread title is misleading, people who havent seen it are going to click on this thread only to be disapointed that the video isnt here. Put some more effort into yout thread titles pal.

Mexico vs Puerto Rico, Margarito vs Cotto, Evil vs Good, willing to die in the ring vs I wanna do my job, Revenge, Payback, Clarity, and true dislike.

I would love to see Cotto KO Margarito unfortunately I dont think that's possible.

Max Kellerman does justice to Face Off. He needs to do a better job of post fight interview.

i give cotto a lot of credit for being honest. he'll take a beating for his fans but he won't die for them. it might not make him look very good but it's the truth.

I thought Cotto was a real gentleman throughout that interview but he was preety blunt when talking about not leaving it in the ring. It was very offputting.

At this point however, I think Cotto has the mental edge

Cotto seemed soft, but then again maybe he isn't willing to die for boxing but he seems willing to die for his family. If Max turned it around that way I'm sure Cotto would say yes, that being said Cotto is a warrior but obviously not to level Tony is, you could tell that from watching the first fight. What Cotto said is also true, you guys saying he has a fake eye well... showing his heart means this is probably his last fight and his career is over. For what? To show you have a lot of heart and people like Max admire you? Not worth it if you ask me.

Still these are boxers and we ask them to go in there and fight to the death, then berate them when they do (Margarito) or call them p*ssies when they think about their future (Cotto.) Screwed either way, but I'd rather see my fighter have Marg's mentality and let the corner worry about his health. Still after watching this I feel more comfortable with Cotto winning. Marg's reaction to Max question about if you didn't feel the wraps against Mosley, how could you know you were clean here? Dude is obviously guilty and while he has heart like a mother ****er, he doesn't have much skill. Heart/Grit/Toughness win you fights, but in fights like Ali/Frazier Gatti/Ward the "tough" guy won the first fight and then skills took the rest.
