  • the thought that pac sandbagged this to bait Floyd into a match crossed my mind after the fight...but if he did, why would he make it so close that the decision could go either way?

Styles make fights and marquez has him figured out, the problem with marquez is he's too focused on counterpunching pac, if he would turn it up a little bit he would have won...but getting more offensive would mean more openings for pac so it's a tough fight either way.

After 36 rounds of boxing I still don't have a winner between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. #boxing

Maybe its a lot easier for me to feel that way becuz I feel Pac won quite comfortably... My scores were basically identical to Lederman's throughout the fight... So he definitely won on my scorecard, and that makes it easier for me to see him giving a few rounds away just to make the fight seem closer.

        • The judges' decisions combined with the compubox scores, give a more compelling evidence on the outcome of the fight than the biased opinions of judge wannabes in this forum.
Check out what Dan Rafael said in an interview on ESPN boxing. He and those around him, including other scribes, thought the fight was a draw. But Rafael's own scorecard had Pac winning by 7/5, and this was coming from someone who's hardly a Pac fan.

But I really got that impression. And its not just the fact that I picked Pac to blow him out, and it ended up being more competitive than I thought... It was literally from actually watching the fighters...

When u look at Marquez's face, he looks like "OH GOD, PLEASE LET ME GET THROUGH THIS... COME ONE, JUAN U CAN DO THIS... YOU CAN DO THIS..."

Disagree completely, Marquez was extremely focused and in the latter rounds was focusing on protecting his lead and not making any mistakes.

When u look at Pac's face, he looks like "I wonder if Jinky's making adobo today? Meh... While I'm thinking about it I might as well throw a left or two..."

He just looked disinterested. And by the way he fought, he looked like he was holding back MASSIVELY... What happened to the guy that threw 100 punches a round? Where'd the killer instinct go?

Not sure what your point is? But either way, this point goes against Pacquiao - he was out of ideas and was evidently not very confident.

I understand Marquez had some pretty good defense, and made him miss... And did a decent job making him pay in some rounds, but he really just seemed physically outmatched... I still feel like if Pac wanted to KO Marquez, he could have... It just seemed like he didn't want to...

Marquez threw the stronger, more telling blows. The best punches were all from Marquez in that fight. If Marquez was physically outmatched, then this is only more embarassing for Pacquiao.

It was body language and facial expressions that make me feel that way... Not hate, so kill urselves if u think that. There was a certain point near the end where Pac looked frustrated (becuz of Marquez's style, or becuz he wants to destroy Marquez but hold back... I'm not ruling either out)

Body language and facial expressions don't win points and don't win fights.

                I have 2 theories...
He either wanted to to carry Marquez so the people would get their money's worth... Everyone knows most (or at least a lot of) people found this to be a pretty BS fight, so Bob probably told him to carry him, not blow him out so everyone could get their money's worth.

After Pac's entire team said that this would be a decisive victory? Most, including Roach were predicting an early KO. If we believe this theory, then Pac only managed to embarrass his team and his fans. This theory has no credibility.

Or for a similar reason, expect instead of merely giving the people their money's worth, he's trying to make Floyd think he lost a few steps... Trying to bait him in agreeing to the fight... Some people on here seem to think Floyd is clearly the superior fighter based on last night... U think he'll fall for it?

The vast majority of people think Marquez won the fight. This theory would have had some credibility if it was the other way around.

                What do u guys think?

Try and give a valid reply... No crying and wining... Give me reason why u disagree... That should be easy since I'm "on drugs" or "******ed" right? I mean, what r the odds that u guys r the ******s and thats why u can't see the signs

                  • Hbo also helps in robbery too dont be blind

All of them were going nutts on pac, and pac didnt even land his left hand all night. Marquez ducked under it everytime . This was a marquez type of fight, everything went excatly how marquez wantted it to inside the ring. The hbo crew knew even if the fight is close to praise pacquaio to convenice everybody watching the fight that pacquaio was winning no matter what, marquez won 8 rounds. = very clear. They even payied letterman to score all the rounds for pac, sad were boxing is going i swear. Dont let hbo off the hook they are dirty also, every other broadcast had marquez winning by a long shot
