    Harrison-Hussein (includes result)

Harrison wins by unanimous decision... the judges had it wider, but I had it 115-112 on my scorecard, although that may be flattering to Hussein.

I put £10 down on this guy after all his "I'll shock everybody" protestations. If only they'd give a wink to the camera and say "I'm only joking really - he's gonna knock the **** out of me" it would save everyone time and money.

The first nine rounds - while having some close ones and two that I gave to Hussein - were pretty much one-way traffic, including a KD in the fifth. Despite Hussein insisting he'd be coming forward to confirm to the judges what was happening instead kept showboating "hurt" signs after Scott landed. It looked good and got inside Harrison's head a little (maybe not in the way Hussein would have liked) but also was a little too convincing, and really did look like Hussein was losing the rounds big. Any round that was close and Nedal did his "comedy wilt" in would have swung it against him.

Harrison was completely one-dimensional, a come-forward, two-fisted fighter who is just waiting to be picked off by someone with a jab and even a modicum of lateral movement - but then we knew all that anyway. Unlike with Victor Polo, while I had this reasonably close, there was no doubt that Harrison won comfortably on the cards.

I felt that Scott should have been docked a point for hitting after a break, but as that was what caused Hussein to badly stun him in the tenth then I suppose it evened out. Harrison appeared to be stunned at various stages of the last three rounds (all three of which I scored to Hussein), but was still firing back and even looked to be about to score a KO in return in the eleventh.

Not a great fight, despite Hussein's rally in the final quarter it was too late, and he failed to capitalise on a man ready to be taken. Maybe next time...

          Are you winding me up?

I work full time but I have studied English, yes.

I don't box at all. I hear a lot of crap on here from people who say you shouldn't talk boxing unless you've "laced them up", which IMO is total bollocks and completely disregards all the decades of pro boxing writers in favour of high school kids who think an amateur bout makes them an expert. Okay, rant over.

Suffice it to say that while I love the sport as a spectator, the idea of getting hit in the head myself to appreciate it more is anathema.

            What era are we in?

Is writing and speaking english the proper way a taboo thing?.....

I can't believe that the anglophone world is degenerating so much so fast.....

I think rap music is having an effect on the english language....a negative effect!

Harrison did just enough,no more.Although he won tonight he showed his limitations someone class like Chi would murder him.Marquez is also out of his league.I dont know much about Guzman who is supposed to be next in line but it seems like they may try to avoid him and step up in weight(going of what i heard in the interview after the fight).

If Harrison steps up he will only have to fight even stronger competition. Can't see him fighting Morales/Barrera. Though a fight with Alex Arthur would be quality.

Id like to see him mix it with Alex Arthur, not sure how they are now.At one point they were real close and would never have considered it but then they had a big fall out(something to do with Harrisons dad) and exchanged insults publicly.Even fight if they met, maybe Harrison wins on big fight experience.
