if you can play football, hockey, etc with a knee brace, then i think boxing shouldn't be too much a problem....

The heavyweight division is already boring. With no one fighting each other and VK injuring himself everytime he thinks about training.

This like when tszyu held the 140 lb title for 2 years while he was injured isnt that fun.
