Because for him to make history and be the 2nd man in 100 years to go from HW champ to LHW Champ and that was his goal so he had to accomplish his goal. I don't agree with what he did, the smart and logical way would of have had Tarver move up to fight him. Even Mackie Shilstone(trainer that helped bulk Roy up for HW) Told him it wasn't a good idea to move back down and he should stayed at HW.
