Lynes did well last night to beat Purdy, don't know how Ian John Lewis had it a draw. Vassell fights on this weekend, already has a win over Purdy on his record and a fight with Lynes would be a nice domestic showdown.

Lewis scored this fight a draw. I could only give Purdy a share of a couple of rounds at best. Utterly shocking. Lewis should not be allowed to judge again.

Fair play to Lynes for what was a sensational performace but it had more to do with Purdy being completely one dimentional. Purdy had no idea how to close the distance. His feet had to be rooted to the canvas before he could throw anything. He didn't throw a straight punch all night which would have been my starting point if I were struggling to close in. Lynes schooled him proper.
