Comments Thread For: Unprecedented HBO Coverage Set For Pacquiao-Marquez

The message was sent loud and clear when Top Rank took its business – and along with it pound-for-pound Manny Pacquiao – across the street earlier this year. HBO needs to change up the way it provides its boxing coverage.

To be honest, HBO did go above and beyond promoting this fight.

Floyd Mayweather even helped in promoting this fight with him reserving May 5th and MGM for a potential bout with Pacquiao which peaked interest in ESPN and some news outlet.

Hmmm.... I might have to reconsider my acidity and voracious writing in slandering Mayweather.

Also, the unfortunate death of a legend of Joe Frazier brings attention to boxing as well.

I mean it looks like all the stars, planets, moons, and even comets are aligned giving off a very positive vibe for boxing.

Floyd Mayweather, you better come out and say you want Pacquiao next since you said yourself you are your own promoter and fighter. Pacquiao is shackled by superstition and his promoter only Floyd Mayweather can break those seals and let the fight that everyone wants to see come true.

I wish Pacman would come over to the UK and do an interview, guess we need some UK WW worthy of a PPV with him first though....

That's how Boxing is gonna be promoted!

It is interesting to note, that inspite of being Non-Americans both Pacman and Marquez are well received inside USA!

Hopefully, the PPV Result goes over 1 million.

I hope Arum does the same with the Top Rank Version of Sat's PPV.

Only in the U.S. lol a lot of PPV fights are free in other countries which means millions more watch em.

Frankly the only thing counteracting the negative impact of PPV is the high piracy rates hahaha.
