i think Angulo took too many punches that night...why would you want the referee to stop you from pummeling a guy and give him an 8 count and thus time to recover? you would want to keep hitting the guy and get him out of there. I guess I misundestand the objective of boxing?

That was a good stoppage he was dead tired and just didn’t have anything left he didn’t even protest when the fight was stopped. After the first round it became a more one sided fight not a war.

Angulo should've continued staying in the pocket and countering with bombs instead of trying to bum rush Kirkland. You have to question his conditioning he was dead gassed in the first round and never recoverd. I don't agree that this would be another one sided beat down. Its a toss up fight Angulo still has plenty of dynamite and shorter straighter shots and better timing than Kirkland.

I can't remember the last time I saw a standing 8 count in a professional fight. They do happen but very rarely. Seems a strange thing to complain about.

I like Angulo but that is pretty ridicilously. Angulo is upset because he could have had a 1st round kayo against Kirkland but he couldn't finish him off.

When Kirkland was hurt in the 1st round I said Kirkland is done but when he weathered the storm I was shocked. Kirkland is a beast.
