    Why Not Kirkland vs Molina?

I named him in the Kirkland vs Lara thread and no one said anything. I think he deserves just as much of a shot as anyone. He's been really impressive lately and that fight is more of a war to me then even the Angulo fight. I love Molina's skill and I think the winner proves themself worthy of a Canelo or Martinez fight

I agree its a fight to watch and he is not so easily tagged and has good countering ability unlike Perro even if Molina doesn't seem to have much power.

but DLT......lol @ ppl needing to be worthy of a fight with an untested prospect like Canelo.

it should be is canelo worthy of fighting james kirkland?

I like the kid and he's a big star so I understand the way this game works, just sayin, since when does anyone have to prove they are "worthy" of fighting canelo? Maybe if you look like crap in your past two fights? Maybe if you're alfonzo gomez? See, that's the thing. Up to now you're only worthy to fight canelo if you're not all that good.

Kirkland or whomever shouldn't have to fight another guy first they should be able to fight the champ now, after a big win, versus the champ fighting guys coming off bad losses

And if they are still grooming canelo and he's not ready I understand that too, it's just thats the reason why he should have turned down the WBC belt. If you're not ready to fight certain guys, don't call yourself a champ. No one would complain if canelo didn't have a belt and he was just working his way up the competition.

every tough contender out there.I know u hate mexicans,And only
want blacks to do good. But thats not right.Trust me,If canelo gets

Weather yall like it or not, money is just as important as skills nowdays and Canelo brings in a lot more money than Kirk, Ishida, Molina, and Lara so yes it might not be right but they do have to be worthy of him, sadly

Let's be real - Cintron is only his opponent because of his last two fights. He looked like crap in both.

On paper maybe Cintron is a step up, but certainly not if we go by his last 2-3 fights.

He doesn't have to fight every one he just has to fight one of them. Matt Hatton, Alfonzo Gomez, Cintron, c'mon! Since winning his WBC title, 5 out of the 6 guys canelo has fought haven't been rated in the top 10. The only guy he fought that was rated in the top ten was Rhodes.

This is just a bizarre thing for you to say. Unlike some of you posters I don't cheer for a particular race, ethnicity or nationality. My favorite fighters are Hopkins, Pacquiao, Gamboa, Donaire, Pirog. There is nothing about those guys that are simlar (other than pac & donaire both being Filipino). I'm a boxing fan, I don't get into the whole race/nationality ****.

And apparently I wasn't jumping off my seat in joy when Ortiz was beating down Berto..

              Hopefully James Kirkland or Lara.

Yet if those guys fight each other and beat each other, Alvarez would be kept away. Let's say Kirkland and Molina fight each other. Would you really expect that they'd get to fight Alvarez?

Molina deserves a shot against someone, at the very least K9 who still has the IBF belt.

Wouldn't mind him seeing take on Rodriguez/Wolak II's winner.
