Comments Thread For: Photos: Canelo-Cintron Will Land at Historic Plaza Mexico

At the historic Plaza Mexico, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will appear as the star attraction on November 26th. The venue change came after a recommendation from Don Jose Sulaiman, president of World Boxing Council, who said the organizers should stage the fight Plaza Mexico in order to allow the Mexican people to be closer to the new star of the sport. Mexican icons like Humberto "Chiquita" Gonzalez and Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. have fought in the venue. Alvarez will defend his WBC junior middleweight title against Kermit Cintron. Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday through ticketmaster and costs range from 200 to 3000 pesos.

                  it's not a stadium, it's a bullring. A perfect place for a boxing match.
