Well said friend. Gettin' misty eyed here. Not that I'm anything but a fan, but what I know of him is inspiring and evokes a certain pride. Not everybody knows boxing these days.Last edited by lefthook2daliva; 11-08-2011, 04:46 AM.Comment

So now Ali wants to be nice after the passing. Pretty fake if you ask me. I've read books in recent years and articles about Ali being sorry but he sure didn't seem like he was hyping up a fight back in the day. Don't like Ali, never have.Comment

Oh come on! That was roughly 40 years ago, you really think he is the same person after all this time? Ali has always been nice to Frazier since the end of their fighting days.Comment

I guess you missed the documentary 'Thrilla in Manilla'. Frazier was hardly an angel either.

Ali not a great human being? Jeeee people need to understand he only talked just to mind fuxk his opponents and get under their skin, he'd also do it to hype up his fights and you know what, it worked! As far as what he's done in his life, he's a true inspiration. Fought against a fxcked nation for his beliefs and was imprisoned. Why should he have fought for a country where he didn't even have the right to eat at a restaurant after winning a fuxking gold medal for them.Comment

Um by the end of their third fight (around the time Ali's parkinson symptoms started) ali was over their feud and stated he respected Joe as a champ. Hes stated he was wrong for calling joe an uncle tom for several years now. It took Joe an extra 30 odd years to forgive ali. In fact it was Joe who actually became bitter later on and bragged that he was responsible for Alis Parkinsons. I am happy that he was at least able to forgive Ali towards the end and bury their feud.Last edited by Shogunofharlem1; 11-08-2011, 06:04 AM.Comment
