It’s enough to feel a little sorry for Lucian Bute. The long reigning IBF titlist at 168 lbs. got the marquee name his record lacked, turned in the dominant performance he needed, and by Sunday morning almost no one outside Canada cared.

Vanes could have been fighting Angulo last Saturday but found every excuse not to. His demotion in the ratings is deserved despite the undefeated record.

Yeah, but Ishida over Vanes based on what many perceived as a "fluke" win over Kirkland?? Really, what else has Ishida done?

Not trying to be critical but I don't understand the reasoning of Ishida over Martrosiyan (sp?) based on that reason.

That fluke win is better than anything on Martirosyan's record IMO. That's a soft "0." Where I am probably in error is in not including Austin Trout, as Jake Donovan made the case to me earlier. Keeping that in mind for next week.
