Here to pay my respects to one of the legends of boxing history. He was one of the very best of the best. RIP and condolences to those who knew and love him. The living go through the grieving process. And it can take years for some to be able to learn to live with it.
I don't fear death, but when my time comes, i hope it's quick and painless as possible. I choose the "do not resuscitate" option. i don't want to drag my loved ones through a survival process that just prolongs the inevitable. When my time comes, the lesser fuss and all about it, the better.

I choked up more than once thinking about what a loss this is today. Not ashamed to say it. Also, if I read one more Frazier tribute (and Tom's wasn't one of them...that piece was awesome) which is really just a facade so some boomer can work through their generational angst and write some more about Ali as a reflection of their narcissistic need to make everything about their overrated lifespan I think I'll yak. Seriously, how many "Hope Joe let go of his anger" and "Ali was just selling fights" garbage ass laments are there? Ali was sometimes a hell of a man. As regards Joe, he was a gargantuan arse and did way more than sell fights. If Frazier hated his guts, so be it. Great fighters are great for a reason, and focused anger is often part of it. Joe didn't need to totally forgive Ali and these ****** ass commentaries come off like 'Joe just didn't get it.' Joe lived it, unlike the yuppie scum who I guess wish he'd just dig into his feelings. Can't let the man have his day even in death.

Q.E.P.D(R.I.P. in Spanish).. Joe was a TRUE, GAME TO THE BONE WARRIOR!! In The "Thriller in Manila"(1 of the best fight's ever! Where both fighters LITERALLY left it ALL in the ring!!) it was Ali that DIDN'T want to continue at the end of the 14th round & his corner was insisting & practically BEGGING him to continue & IRONICALLY Joe's corner wanted to stop the fight & Joe DIDN'T want the fight stopped & was arguing with his corner to let him continue..Yet Ali's luck struck again when his corner decided to wait for the bell to let the ref know they were stopping it & Eddie Futch(Joe Frazier's trainer) decided to let the ref know BEFORE the bell rung!!!
