These are some quotes I've translated myself from Slovene articles. Sorry some of these are so old, I honestly didn't notice how prolific he's been since losing the title to Berto. I figured he'd have taken a longer vacation.

When asked about Berto's punches, he said Berto was strong, but
"I've taken stronger punches"
On the headbutt, and if he thinks it was intentional.
"I think it just happened in the heat of the fight. He got caught with my uppercut and it knocked him off balance. It could have just as easily happened the opposite way" (Zavec accidentally headbutting Berto)
On how the fight played out
Everything went perfect.. too perfect.. I was joking that the plane would probably crash. In the fight I felt we had everything under control. I know things would have gone more my way with each passing round. Then, out of nowhere, came the impact (headbutt). It happened and there's nothing we can do to change it"
On the future of his career
"This defeat isn't the end of my career, it's time for a new beginning. I want to be bigger, better and stronger. My goal is to regain my belt. I have to recover, then I will start training for my return, probably February or March next year."
