I like Maidana's style, but the guy hasn't won a significant fight since he beat Ortiz.

It's not like Ortiz is a dipshit or anything.

All things considered, Maidana would have gained a lot by fighting and beating Bradley.

Another shot at Amir Khan for one.

so then why fight on an undercard where his minimums aren't going to be met then?

150k is about what he would get fighting stiff in Argentina

I would say the Morales win has some significance

So he fights the stiff in Argentina.

No one is going to watch him here. He's not going to get any exposure.

Maidana brings less money to the table than Bradley does.

                Hardly.

Only because Morales made the fight more competitive than most people thought it would be.

Even then not many people were rooting for Maidana.

That's close to what some of the elite guys in the UFC are getting paid. Just shows you how spoiled some of these boxers are and/or how little the guys in the UFC are making. I think that's around the money Nick Diaz got for his fight against BJ Penn.

Not saying Chino should have taken that crappy offer considering he can make more money fighting bums, just a general observation of the sport's financial landscape.
