Very intriguing. Ortiz has the ability to backpedal and box, not great but decent enough. He also has real power. Kirkland isn't a big fight for Ortiz, so I'm not sure whether his mental makeup comes into play or not.

Same here, but I'd give Ortiz the edge since he is not sloppy with his punches or footwork. James has heart and power but he is a mess.

Ortiz sodomizes this chinless bum in less than 3!!!! Ortiz was on his way to koing chicken maywether but he got suckerpunched. Kirkland soes not seem like the type to do something like that although you never know. In any case, Ortiz learned the hard way not to trust certain boxers so I'm pretty sure he would be mindful of dirty and deliberate tactics.

Boxrec has em as identical height/reach. Don't see why Victor couldn't go up one more weight class. He's a big burly kid. This would be an awesome fight while it lasted. I'll take Vicious Victor by apocalyptic KO in 6.

i'd like to see ortiz at 154 first, but even then, it's been said ortiz doesn't like getting hit, and there's no escaping that with kirkland. i think ortiz has the tools to beat him, but it'd be tough to predict whether ortiz can overcome the first couple rounds. i like both guys but i'd have to favor kirkland on this one, though i think i'd root for ortiz.
