Comments Thread For: Humberto Soto-Adailton De Jesus Set For December 3

On December 3rd at Playa del Carmen in Quintana Roo, Mexico, former multi-division champion Humberto Soto (56-7-2, 33KOs) will continue his campaign at junior welterweight, as he faces Brazilian test Adailton De Jesus (29-6, 23KOs). De Jesus usually stays active, going 4-2 in 2010, but only fought once in 2011. Last year he suffered losses to Marco Antonio Barrera and Ricardo Dominguez, but the boxer is best known for his upset win over a then unbeaten Noe Bolanos in 2007, and dropping a 6-0 Yuriorkis Gamboa during their 2007 clash, before the Cuban stopped him in the sixth.

Good thing Soto stepped up his competition and fought 3 no name bums with another on the way. Why should he have rematched Urbano in another FOTY candidate and than take on Rios?

Soto tried to fight Marcos Maidana, but Maidana chickened-out.

Soto tried to fight Pac, Marquez, MAB, EM and they all ducked him.

Soto wont fight ANtillon, Rios or any Top Rank fighter cause TR owes him $1 Million and theres a lawsuit right now.
Its a contract dispute right now.

Lightweight titleholder Humberto Soto, claiming he is owed more than $1 million by Top Rank and that his promotional agreement with the company is expired, has declared himself a free agent, attorney and co-manager Michael Miller told ESPN.com.

Yeah I also heard other ATG boxers ducked him, even boxers that came out of the grave to box again ducked him....

Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Henry Armstrong, Joe Louis, Willie Pep, Roberto Duran, Benny Leonard, Jack Johnson, and Jack Dempsey all chickened out a fight with Soto.

Give it a rest man, I like Soto too but no one is scared of him like you put it out there the way you do. He just needs a better promoter and then he will get better opponents and be included in better fight cards.

You know boxing is a business as well right, some of those fighters didn't want to fight him because there was no money with him. Not because they are scared, this sport is their livelihood so they must make good business decisions as well. Maybe if Soto was better promoted and not always fight at midnight on Azteca/Telefu more fighters would want to face him.

                  Just saying.

Soto already has a better promoter (Golden Boy Promotions, Inc.), but the problem is that he cant get the big fights cause they're scared of him.
Maidana was offered to fight SOto for this month, but Maidana chickened-out.
JMM wants nothing to do with SOto.
Pac, MAB, Morales also ducked Soto too.

Just cause Rios said he wanted to fight Soto 2 months after Soto fought ANtillon dont mean nothing, cause at that time, Soto was planning on leaving Top Rank cause they owe him $1 million (in almost Net pay).
Thats why Soto wont fight Antillon in a remacth, Rios or any Top rank fighter, until the lawsuit demand is settled with top rank.
