margarito was the top ranked welterweight for years and floyd doesn't have to fight him because he fought baldomir? yep he cleaned out the division by beating a journeyman with 1 good win. his work here is done.

if cloud beats erdei that's better than beating dawson, pascal, or hopkins right? he can just retire. forget fighting the proven established guys in his division. i know erdei isn't the lineal champ anymore but he was and no one would call themselves the best simply by beating him.

mayorga, spinks, judah, baldomir, and mayweather all avoided the number 1 contender in their division. they tried to freeze him out because he was too dangerous which makes their claim to lineage very suspect.
