Can Ricky Burns now get the credit he so badly deserves!

This lad is clearly a world class operator and has been for some time. His performance against Martinez was fantastic yet was over looked by most who claimed he would lose what he battled so bravely for as soon as his first defence.
Last night he was wrote off by 90% of the sports followers claiming Katsidis would walk through him but he proved what some of us have believed all along.

Being a Glasgow boy I would like to say Ricky done our nation and himself proud last night and it’s about time folk gave the boy the credit he’s due!

    Well done Ricky!

Ricky Burns cowardly ducked Adrien Broner.

I will admit he impressed me last night with his performance. I thought he would get knocked out. But I still think he would've lost to Broner and that Warren and his people knew that. I reckon he'll fight Kevin Mitchell next and I'd have him as an underdog there too.

          He's done really well.

This is a man who lost to Carl Johansson.

          That's exponential improvement.

i give him full respect for doing exactly what was needed against a guy who gives anybody and everybody a hard night (guerrero excluded perhaps, but that took an excellent performance).
wait and see how he does against other more skilled fighters but absolutely full credit for last night.

I'm really happy for him, he boxed brilliantly. It was a great, disciplined performance but I wont get too carried away. Katsidis is a tough test for anyone, but he's not up there with the best in the division. I'm interested to see how Ricky copes with someone with a bit more skill, but he proved so many people wrong and showed he belongs at this level.

                  He's a very solid fighter at 135.

Wouldn't call him world class yet.

He needs to win a real title vs a elite 135 fighter first.

But I think he can hang with anyone at 135.

I was impressed with him, nice jab (in the early rounds), he looks like he has a little power especially in those body shots. His defense impressed me, he obviously chose to cover on the ropes instead of fighting/countering (like graham earl). If he gets Mitchell next, id take Burns over him..kevin lets himself get hit too much.
