Canelo will not fight Kirkland anytime soon. The running game will not commence. He will not be able to sustain the barrage from this beast. Kirkland is what boxing has needed in a long time. No bull****. He comes to beat that ass...

After that performance, I must say that James Kirkland will be the 154lb KING in no time. I think he beats Alvarez, Cotto, Margarito, K9, Spinks, Lattimore, and anyone else in the division. It's a wrap!

Angulo wasnt even warming up in His locker room..he looked lost..body was flabby..he came in Looking Super Dry..wouldnt look Kirk in the Eye...hadnt fought in 18 months...WONT say he looked scared but he didnt look Confident..got tagged a couple of times before dropping Kirk...17 seconds past before they resumed fighting...Angulo shoots his Load..Kirk starts the come back..Angulo goes Down...it takes Kirk 5 rounds to get a COMPLETELY SHOT Angulo out of there...umm...Angulos corner SHOULD have stopped the fight earlier When he was stumbling around the Ring WITHOUT a punch even being landed...Angulo needs to stay more active before taking fights like this...or just hang em up...Kirk isnt ready just yet...should take a tuneup next..then fight a Guy like Carlos Molina to see where hes at.........

Angulo has NEVER been down. His heart carried him five rounds. If he had been knocked the hell out you would be going, "WTF?! That wasn't Angulo!"

BTW, as it just me or does this fight not really deserve to be fight of the year? I mean, it was exciting because they were throwing power shots, but it was a one-sided beating for the most part.

The people in this forum have got to be the most negative and miserable people in the world.

                IT WAS A GREAT FIGHT!

                Leave it at that.

I am done with this forum, and I advise all of you here to enjoy the fight and stop being so damn critical.

                DAMN.

It always hurts when your favorite gets beat, but Angulo made his rep beating the likes of Harry Joe Yorgy and lost to Cintron, so I expected this. Kirkland was always better than him on paper and in the ring, he just had that Japanese hiccup. I firmly believe that Angulo can still take Canelo's belt, but Kirkland deserves the title shot.

                    Kirkland Dominated Angulo

Going into this fight I thought Angulo was the more technically sound fighter but Kirkland stepped up his game and thoroughly dominated Angulo for the duration of the fight. Now I know all of Angulo's fans,ie...so-called Hispanics(Mestizos)will make endless excuses for their fighter(particularly because he lost to a Black fighter)but Kirkland was the better fighter and proved as much. Respect to Anne Wolfe for coming up with a great game plan.
