If I was Canelo, I'd sign a fight with Kirkland tomorrow!!!!

First let me start by saying, I am not a Canelo fan. However, it was a damn shame in my opinion the HBO crew building up Kirkland for Canelo. I don't think he is ready or dangerous enough yet. I liked that he was noticeably more compact in his buildup for this fight and it clearly helped him out. However he got hit a ton. Even though Angulo was all gassed out and therefore ultra slow since the first round, he still hit Kirkland a lot. Hurting him a couple of times.

If I was Canelo, I'd sign to fight him while Kirkland is still hot and maybe hasn't reached peak yet. Canelo doesn't risk too much and he is a big boy, which means Kirkland will have a hard time hitting him both clean, and hurting him.

On another note Kirkland was all class in the post fight interview and deserved to win. But, I can't help but feeling that Angulo was on his way to an easy fight before he made a newbie mistake.

If Angulo only hurt him once (when Kirkland got reckless early on), I'm pretty sure Canelo isn't gonna do a damn thing to keep him off him. Canelo has such overrated power. Not saying Kirkland necessarily wins, but don't expect Canelo to blow him out early or anything like that.

i would agree with this. alvarez needs to step up in comp. lara, molina, kirkland, angulo, martirosyan, and wolak. they're all there for him to fight. he's young too, so if he loses it's deff not the end of the world. i'm sure he would earn respect fighting his heart out in a tough fight rather than continue to fight the hattons gomez' of the boxing world. i really hope saul takes that next step after this cintron bout.

Canelo is overrated.

Heck, I had Gomez winning the fight before the unjustly stoppage.

I like Canelo vs Cotto; Kirkland vs Cotto; Angulo vs Cotto better.

Canelo would be on his bike all night long against Kirkland.
