Kirkland ruined Angulo, Angulo is never going to be the same ever again. After the 1rst round, Angulo looked like he wasn't even in the fight anymore!

straight up bro! Angulo looked so scared and timid after that 1st round I agree I truly think he is damaged goods now for good. The bombs Kirkland was landing on him I never seen before. Angulo got a chin like some next level **** but he no doubt 100% got severe brain damage tonight. I rarely seen such a beating since Mercer vs. Morrison .... Angulo may retire after thsi fight that's how bad that annihilation was

Hagler vs Heanrs all over again. What a awsome fight!! I thought when Kirkland got dropped that it was over but my God it had just started. Props to Angulo for having the heart to keep fighting, I thought the corner should've stopped it...

Wow. Kirkland really proved me wrong. His obvious next step is a rematch with Ishida if he can't get one of the belt holders to face him. Still think he has a weak chin though and a fighter who knew how to finish without getting winded would get him out of there if he had him hurt like Angulo did.

definitely not discounting that he's chinny but with anne wolfe in his corner he has tremendous heart which has proved more important than chin in this fight

Angulo won't ever been the same after this fight, just too much of a pounding, this fight probably should have been stopped sooner, he looked BAD after the match

Ishida's technical skills were the reason he beat Kirkland! He was able to land on Kirkland at will! Something Angulo clearly has problems with. Seems like Angulo's techinical skills are questionable and he is more of just a powerhouse. Angulo's career might be in jeopardy because he took a v viscous beating tonight even if it wasn't a long fight. He looked very defenseless at times and took some really hard shots.

This was a very special fight because it really lived up to the hype. That is very weird nowadays. I was shocked in the first round because I thought Angulo was going to stop Kirkland right there. I predicted Angulo was gonna win by mid round stoppage, not by 1st round TKO. Then Kirkland blew me away by not only surviving, but also taking advantage of a punched out Angulo, and turning the fight around for the rest of the night. What a fight, Kirkland really redeemed himself from that 1st round TKO loss to Ishida. Hopefully both fighters go on to better things. Angulo should not be ashamed at all, he punched himself out, it happened to Mike Jones too. In a rematch, he would be smarter and learn from this mistake. Come on guys, you know a rematch is the next logical fight for both of these guys.
