So Cotto got beat fair and square by Margarito. And Mosley beat the Margarito coming off that Cotto win. All dark clouds over the Mosley vs Margarito vs Cotto fights is now cleared. Well almost all, I still don't get how Mosley vs Cotto was not a Draw. But Margarito is a clean fighter if this is true. Let's move on.

i always believed this was a farce perpetrated by golden boy against top rank. yes he had something in his wraps but it wasn't plaster and deserved no more than a slap on the wrist since you can't really hurt someone with cardboard.

I have no idea how many people even making comments in this thread actually followed the entire story from front to back.
But I will say this at first I was furious with the idea that Tony would do that, and was glad to see Mosley starch him as a result.
However the evidence and lab findings was good enough for me, I mean when the DA stated in the early going that they would seek a criminal case should the findings in the lab confirm it was plaster paris, the lab couldnt nail it down to plaster.
What they did find in the lab were trace elements, and you need alot more than just trace elements to make a brick or a cast. you notice the pad is pre used, Margaritos trainer said he had used pre used pads, so my guess is they were firm and stiff because it was gauze that had dried out sweat in them much the way a kitchen sponge dries out after you use it.

The rules call for clean fresh gauze so he did violate the rules, the dye thats found on the confiscated wrap is Dye from the inside of the gloves, if you look at most fighters after a fight you will every now and then notice that they do have a red spot from the glove on their knuckle area.

The cotto fight so many people point back to, when in reality Nevada supplies all the gauze and tape and they did clear him of any wrong doing in that fight, but its funny how people argue the state of Miguels swelling for Margarito and claim Tony loaded his gloves when Manny made Miguel look much worse than that.

Being that the fight was nearly three years ago this is what I could find at the moment I live in Los angeles this **** was on the news like crazy while you live in the bronx and probably didnt even follow the case....
