Actually, no he's not. He was offered double his career high payday ($3 million) to fight Pirog. Bute also offered him a fight at 164. Both would be lucrative options. Sturm also expressed interest in a fight.

The only reason he's in a 'bad spot' is because he has idiots managing and promoting him. He's fighting Macklin on St. Patty's day in MSG most likely. Just using names like Pacquiao, Mayweather, Chavez, Margarito, etc to keep his name in headlines.

Everyday he's 'negotiating' with someone new. 2 weeks ago he was 'negotiating' with both Manny and Floyd simultaneously. His manager said that both Manny and Floyd would do 2 million PPV buys and make more $ against Sergio than they would against each other, said this about each guy in 2 seperate interviews.

Just attention grabbing while getting ready for Macklin.

Martinez is just in a bad spot right now. He's too big for the smaller big money fighters and he's too small to go to a bigger deeper more talented division. And, he's fighting father time to make it even worse.
Yeah even if he's offering it, its not worth it for Floyd, the fight will do no where 2 mil like Sergio's adviser claims, Sergio is hardly known and it doesn't help him not being able to speak English. I mean I see Floyd taking the fight if it was a big attraction fight but unfortunately it isn't. You're right about his predicament though.

At this point I wouldn't even want to see Floyd fight him @ 150 or 151. Sergio should move on, unfortunately he's nearing the end of his career when he just blossomed in the later years.

He should definitely fight Pirog...I have said that many times and Sturm...But, in reality beating either or both guys doesn't bring the top dawgs closer. So yes he's in a tough spot....Unless JCC Jr or Alvarez becomes something legit very quick. Then the most he will ever accomplish will be Pavlik and P-Will.

Chicken Floyd has no exuse to not fight Martinez. Floyd fought a washed up Oscar at 154. I believe Floyd came in at 151. Why doesn't Floyd wana do this with Serg? Because he's a chicken thats why. Ducking pac and ducking serg. Serg would do testing and even take a less percentage. Chicken Floyd, man up.

He probably can't anymore... or he probably can. I don't know. Not you or I can answer that. Only he can answer that.

Blown up doesn't mean you can or can't make weight still. You can be a blown up or a natural at a weight-class and still not be able to make the weight. Not everyone is the same.

And, yes JMM is a blown up FW.

Why would Martinez want to pick on a blown up flyweight?
