Let's refute your opinions: 1) Barrera, Morales & Marquez were all at the top of their division. They were all 29-31 years old when they first matched up and that's how Pac made his name in boxing. He had good, competitive fights with future hall of fame boxers. It's called boxing! 2) Pac fought 3k battery 7 years ago dude. Floyd was fighting Henry friggin Bruseles 7 years ago. Sergio was fighting Richard Williams 7 years ago. Do you see a trend with the top 3 P4P? Yeah, it's called 7 years ago. 3) Cotto, Clottey, Margs & Mosley were all top 5 welterweights when Pac entered the division. Yes you could throw an asterisk on each win but he basically fought most of the top welters at one time or another during his campaign there. His wins lost luster BECAUSE...ta da! All the top welters fought each other in that 2-3 year time span 4) Let's go through your list: Too Sharp and Tim Austin were on their last leg in 03' and 04' when Pac started his ascencion, try again. Maidana and Bradley were not even known @ 140 when Pac fought what many viewed as the best Jr Welter in Hatton, try again. Zahir Raheem? Wow! Okay he beat Morales but that's a one hit wonder if I've ever seen one, try again. I'll give you 135, Pac nutted up and went the easy route with D. Diaz. Yes, he passed on the Baby Bull, Nate, and JOAN Guzman (not Juan Guzman) but don't even mention Soto. The same Soto that practically ducked every major fight thrown his way after Joan tapped that a**. 5) Biggest joke? Probably the most popular but that's just an opinion. Ducked Sergio? You probably didn't even know who Sergio was 2 years ago. Try a little harder with your half a** posts and do your homework more often son. Manny never ceases to amaze me. He is so amazing really. Love how he hads cemented his legacy as pretty much the greatest of all time and accomplished everything and still wants to fight. Pretty good interview.

A lot of boxing fans are not going to be happy with this – Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and his team are seeking an 8th world title at the 154 pound weight class but they want to fight for the WBC junior middleweight title at a catch-weight of 150 pounds!

Boxing fans don’t have a problem with the fight being at a catch-weight, they just have a problem with it being for a world title.

Manny Pacquiao was highly criticized for having a catch-weight fight of 145 pounds for the WBO 147 pound welterweight title against Miguel Cotto and now he has no shame in asking for another ridiculous catch-weight title fight.

It seems the Pacman doesn’t care about the fans or his legacy either, because if he wanted to be looked at as the most legit pound 4 pound king in the sport, then, he has to make the weight limit 154 pounds not 150 for the WBC belt.

Pacquiao can come in at 150 if he wants but he should allow Margarito to come in at the junior middleweight limit so the fight can be fair. If Pacquiao is worried about being to small, then don’t fight at 154 pounds stay at welterweight.

His title won’t mean jack **** if he doesn’t face Margarito at 154 pounds. This fight is already a big joke and fans are so pissed off at this fight happening. Bob Arum and Freddie Roach should be ashamed of themselves for trying to make this fight.

Manny Pacquiao should just wait till Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to negotiate after the first week of August or his uncle Roger Mayweather’s assault trial is finished because the biggest fight in boxing is Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao and that fight is the only fight that should be made even if it’s for next year.

If Bob Arum thinks people will actually pay to see Manny Pacquiao fight a cheater who got suspended for loading his gloves and to have the fight at a catch-weight for a title, then, he is not living in reality. I don’t think anyone would pay to see this, especially, after that horrible Top Rank PPV between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey.

This fight won’t do over 300,000 PPV buys even if it was broadcast by HBO. Arum is greedy and bad for boxing he will make more money putting Manny Pacquiao against Antonio Margarito or anyone of his in-house fighters than he would with Pacquiao fighting any other fighter and that’s the only reason why he wants this fight.

Arum takes a big chunk of his fighters money so no wonder he is happy. Pacquiao needs to fight a more credible opponent like Timothy Bradley, Andre Berto, Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez at 160 pounds for the middleweight title in order for him to be taken seriously as a bad ass fighter.

Manny Pacquiao has a better moniker now – “CATCHWEIGHT KING.”

Nobody can legitamatley say Pac has fought anyone noteworthy or special especially in his welterweight run worthy of the hype he receives, pac is the pnd fr pnd champ of people whom are brand new to the sport,for that he deserves credit, but its true he only faces people AFTER a BIG MAJOR loss,AFTER they look beatable,or like shiat,AFTER its confirmed they are washed up, or he fights guys that simply were never very good,like clottey or diaz.Pac is a great matchmaker, he ducked mosley after he smashed,margs,margs after he smashed cotto,countless others,still holding up the mayweather fight even though we'll never know,becoz both guys are well documented liars,ducking martinez,anybody with a great chance of beating Pac will not get a crack at him its not an opinion, the history proves this as fact.Anybody with a serious shot or poses serious risk is exempt from a pac fight..This will be proven until he retires , arum doesnt want him to lose for money reasons as if he needs any more ;and pac wont take a serious risk because he stands to be humiliated in front of his country and his country would suffer a profound humiliation. those are obvious reasons, and thats fine but thats not what a pound for pound champion does thats the very opposite of what that title means he doesnt live up to that title therefore he shouldnt be lauded for it as if he does.Never seen anything like it .pacman is like a low budget movie that captured a great audience,then made terrible sequels to it, at the end of the day your getting garbage even though the original was great.Fight someone great manny your wasting our time.

wow that kinda sounds like when pac ducked mosley after he smashed margs in less than 8 rounds, then waited years after he lost and were completely washed up till he fought him.same with margs and many more.then Pac couldnt even wobble margs and went the full distance with him.sound familiar? jr beat better versions of those fighters,his style is the reason he didnt ko them sooner he is more precautious, manny is a face- first fast brawler beating slower washed up brawlers.This Pac isnt as good as Mosley was when he fought Margs, and Pac wouldnt have even gone the distance with a prime Mosley, or probably many of the fighters hes fought latley,pac waits till they lose and look shot THEN and only THEN does he take them on not before, so jr in that category does deserve more props and Is facing better comp,not martiinez level but certainly better than pac does.Margs with a busted eye socket landed 232 punches on manny more than anyone has landed on pac and put him in the hospital despite losing, do idiots really beleive pac wouldve beat a prime margs of the early 2000s?? a margs of the cintron,gloden Johnson era?
