    What happened to Rydell Booker?

    Do remember this guy?

I thought he showed a lot of heart in his loss to James Toney.

And he could have been in a lot better shape too! Plus he is young and only has one loss. Where did he go?

Booker got busted with a bunch of coke and recieved 15-20. I dont know what happened but remember when he and Leo Nolan was heavily hyped, and now look at them.

Undefeated heavyweight that was promoted by the same people who promoted Booker.

About Rydell Booker, from a September "Fighting Words"

"Rydell Booker, the former cruiserweight prospect whose last appearance was a loss at heavyweight to James Toney, will likely never again enter the ring as a professional fighter. Booker was sentenced to twelve to thirty years in jail for possession of ******* with intent to deliver, and the incarceration effectively ends the 24-year-old’s career. In a sport that has so often served to get youths off the street and out of trouble, it will always be saddening when a Booker or a Clifford Etienne makes bad decisions that erase the good that they had previously created."
