HBO to begin a weekly Boxing news/info show in 2012!

    from fat dans chat.

    Anthony (Bronx, NY)

HBO needs to make a weekly boxing news/info show like the NFL has. It could have Jim Lampley hosting, Kellerman, Emmanuel, Merchant and of course Dan Rafa with the inside scoop.
    Dan Rafael (12:57 PM)

Glad you mentioned that. I will drop a scoop right here to the Fight Freaks. Lampley WILL be hosting a boxing news/talk/analysis show on HBO beginning in 2012. Exact date TBA. It will start as quarterly and could expand if it's a success. How's that for some good news?

This is what boxing needs. They need to highlight the stars but use most of the time promoting the up and comers. Keep it fresh while also taping in on the mainstream fighters who need very little introductions.

This is the best thing for boxing! About time... maybe SHOWTIME will follow up with a show a like.

finally...are they gonna bring in fighters in studio for interviews to promote their fights? maybe do a live split feed between 2 fighters that have a fight coming up and interview them, bring in trainers and legends to breakdown upcoming fights etc...

Hell yes!! When it's HBO it's gotta be be great. I wish HBO would make an HBO Boxing channel with a few shows and I don't care if they replay old fights or whatever. It would be awesome.

Thats great, id love to see that. Everything except Dan Rafael. He is a fat useless pig fan boy who just gets off and rubbing shoulders with the fighters and people who are worth something. Floyd Mayweather would tell him he does not know **** about boxing.
