According to @BobArum he is now planning (which HBO wants) is to match @Brandon_Rios1 & Gamboa on Jan. 28, not to wait until summer. #boxing

1 caution about idea of @Brandon_Rios1-Gamboa 1/28:It's only 6 weeks after Rios-Murray. Could be too quick depending how Murray fight goes.

Gamboa destroys him imo. Weight advantage or not.

Seeing @Brandon_Rios1 vs. Gamboa Jan. 28 instead of waiting for Gamboa to have a pointless fight at 130 is a terrific idea.

          That's a daring statement.

Rios is so much bigger and stronger naturally.

          Tough challenge for Gamboa.

If Gamboa can keep the speed and power he has at 126 when he moves to 135, he should be ok. But 9 pounds is a lot of weight, and against a much bigger, stronger opponent. I would have preferref they move him up slowly or let Donaire make his way to 126lb.

A little wary of Gamboa's chin moving up, especially against a big guy like Rios. That's the only way Rios wins though, is a KO. Gamboa is just a better fighter.
